It is that time of year again when we catch ourselves coming and going. Remodeling cabins, cleaning cabins  and getting the grounds in shape. As usual we have multiple projects going around the resort. Cabin 6 is coming along nicely. Look out for new pictures on our Facebook page. At least this year we are doing this with no snow, well kind of sort of now snow on the ground and no ice on the lake. Ice out was about two weeks ago which was a bit early but not that far from a so called normal ice out. The lake level is a little high right now but we expect to see it start to drop soon to a normal summer level.

There has been a lot happening around town and you can see/fell the buzz picking up. Some of the outfitters in town have already seen a few groups go out and endure the elements of northern MN. Sheridan St continues to see building improvements and new businesses.  Insula is getting a face lift and once done looks to be one of the nicest spots in town to grab a bite to eat. The Sheridan Street theater is for the most part complete and is actively looking for a tenant. The VFW building has been completely remodeled and now is home to the new Northern Grounds cafe and wine bar. Be sure to check it out!

We look forward to our first guests arriving in about one week. Things are shaping up to be a pretty busy summer. We have posted many specials on our web site, so please check it out.
