Hello Kerry,
It is January 1st and we hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. We were home for all of December and even had a couple of days to take a stay-cation at Giants Ridge Ski Resort in Biwabik. Temps have plummeted as of late. Our last morning at Giants Ridge (12/31) they delayed opening up the slopes due to a feels like temp of -41F.
The kids have been having a good time getting out on the lake skating. We had unbelievable lake skating conditions in the beginning of the month and from what we were told conditions haven’t been like that for over 10 years. A huge group from Heavy Metal Sports went out and skated around Shagawa Lake (see video below).
Our sport show season begins this month starting with Schaumburg Illinois. Only doing the 4 shows is not real taxing and actually enjoyable versus the 12 or more shows we did each season many years ago. Please plan to attend one and stop by for a visit. It is always great to see some familiar faces!
