November News 2017

Look very closely to the left of the picture. Behind the well there are two deer.
Hello Kerry,
The resort is put to bed for another summer season. The docks are all rolled up and the water lines blown out. The three weeks we were open in October were pretty nice for this time of year. A bit of frost on the pumpkin a couple of mornings but overall really nice weather. As you can tell by the above picture the last week was a different story. Freezing rain and about 5″ of snow reminded all of us pretty quickly of what’s to come over the next several months. The colder snow months are great and provide opportunities to ice fish, hunt, snowmobile, ski, etc. and we are looking forward to that!)
This time of year we like to reflect on how lucky we are to live and work in such a great area. None of of it would be possible with out our great customer base that comes back to visit us and White Iron Beach year after year. We know you all have many places to choose from to enjoy your vacations and family time and are humbled that you have picked us and Ely. We will continue to improve and upgrade our cabins and grounds to make WIBR the best place possible. Our entire family thanks you for your past business and looks forward to the next time you are in Ely. As the holiday season starts this month please travel safely and enjoy your families and friends.
We do plan on attending the same sport shows this upcoming Spring, Schaumburg,IL, Tinley Park IL, Eau Claire, WI and Minneapolis, MN. I will post the exact dates in future newsletters and on our Facebook page.
We are already getting many inquires for the 2018 season. If you did not re- book before you left this summer please call or write soon to lock in your favorite cabin or cabins. . Please check the website www.whiteironbeach.com for all the current up to date info and specials.
Take care,
Kerry and Sandy

Fishing Reports

Most of us have retired our soft water fishing gear for the current season. The weather has been plenty nice to get out on the water but we especially have been way to busy to get out there. The first ice will form before you know it and a whole new world of fishing will begin for more months than we have for open water angling. I would imagine the first walleyes will be taken on Shagawa sometime in November.
